Joan Evelyn Hystad, 69, West Fargo, ND, died on Sunday, Oct. 4, 2009 in her West Fargo home.

Joan Potvin was born on April 27, 1940 in Newark, NJ. She grew up in New Jersey and graduated from high school there. Joan began working for the family business, with her father, after she graduated from high school. She married Donald Hystad on Sept. 9, 1963 in New Jersey. They moved to Tioga, ND in 1985, later to Minot, ND, Velva, ND and finally to West Fargo, ND in 1999.

She is survived by husband, Donald, West Fargo, ND; son, Donald Jr., West Fargo, ND; daughter, Lisa (Joel) Prudhomme, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, Travis and Tyler Grosche, both of Minot, ND, Tanner Grosche, West Fargo and Brandon Prudhomme, West Fargo, ND.

Memorial Service: Wednesday, Oct. 7, 2009 at 2 in the West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.
