Frances Abrahamson



 
Frances Abrahamson, 89, of West Fargo, ND, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009 in Villa Maria Nursing Home, Fargo, ND.

Frances Irene Deegan was born October 16, 1919 at Devils Lake, ND to Pete and Margaret (Beaudry) Deegan. She grew up living with her mother and step-father Art Longie, and attended 8 years of school at Tokio, ND and St. Michaels Mission of St. Michaels, ND. In November of 1945, she married Rodger Abrahamson. Frances was a homemaker and after raising her family, she worked for the West Fargo Public High School food service.

She was very active member of Grace Baptist Church in West Fargo, including teaching Sunday School, AWANA and Bible School for many years. Frances was a lifetime resident of North Dakota

She is survived by her husband, Rodger, West Fargo; one son, Rodney (Diane) Abrahamson, West Fargo, ND; seven daughters, Donnis McLaren, Kay Puhr, Bonnie (Milo) Walther, Susan (Doug) Kindem, Pam (Greg) Grove, all of West Fargo, ND, Linda (Lyle) Adams, Reynolds, ND, Beth (Dennis) Gilbertson, Fargo, ND; two brothers, Arthur Longie, Seattle, WA, Donald Longie, Fargo, ND; one sister, Harriet “Cookie” Dick, Fargo, ND; 29 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren and one great great grandson.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, infant granddaughter, Debra Jo Adams, brothers, Ernest Deegan, Fabian and Raymond Longie, and sisters, Margarie “Flossie” Abrahamson and Mary Quigley.

Visitation: Friday from 5 to 7 with a prayer service at 7 in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND and one hour before the service in the church.

Funeral: Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009 at 11 in Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo, ND.

Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo, ND.
