Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 15, 2011 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church in Rockville, MN for Delphine Peters, age 81, who died peacefully at her home. Burial will be in the St. Boniface Parish Cemetery, Cold Spring.

Relatives and friends may call after 4:00 p.m. Sunday (TODAY) at the Wenner Funeral Home in Cold Spring. Parish Prayers will be at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will continue from 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. Monday morning at the funeral home.

Delphine was born in Cold Spring, MN to Charles and Theresia (Hansen) Hesse. She married John P. Peters on October 18, 1952 in St. Boniface Catholic Church in Cold Spring. Delphine worked in the Children’s Department at Shopko in St. Cloud, MN for 10 years along with being a homemaker. She enjoyed her flower gardens, fishing, boating, sewing, reading, collecting recipes, listening and singing religious music, playing piano and camping. Delphine loved to shop for children; for both her family and charities. She also loved living by the water even though she couldn’t swim. Her greatest joy was being with her family. Delphine was a very devote catholic and was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church.

Survivors include her children, Francis (Jane), Teresa (Thomas) Donnay, Sara, Marcellus (Lisa), Timothy (Cindy), Brian (Jill); siblings, LaVerne Erpelding, Fran Zelenak, Herb (Lorraine) Hesse; 14 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John (2010); her daughter, Theresia Marie; parents; siblings, Adolph, Virgil, Frank, Carl, Mary Peter, Virginia Mulvaney; step-siblings, Ferdinand Drontle, Alvina Boisie, Marcellus Drontle.

Memorials are preferred to Mass Intentions in Lieu of flowers.
