Dear family of Mark, I am the choral director at Bloomington North. Mark would often be in the Commons with his students in this open location where my choirs often rehearse for more space as we approach performance time. It became apparent over time that he was a very informed observer & listener as the choirs spent precious time drilling our repertoire. Mark & I eventually shared some wonderful conversation on his love and values for singing. We struck up a wonderful friendship. It was so comforting to have his interest and support of the demands I place on my students for their singing! I also teach mahy disabled in my choirs as well. I shall miss those interactions with Mark. That memory, his assuring smile, and comments will always be a part of me when I am there in that space with my students! It meant so much to me. I just wanted you to know!

I cannot begin ot express my sadness about the loss of mark. I have appreciated his humor and laugh through the years, first as a friend in youth group and then as a great help as a funeral director while serving in churches in Green County and whenever I had the opporunity of running in to him when I was back home. Mark had the most incredible tenor voice. So sad it has been stilled, though heaven added another tenor to its choir. I know that he will be missed. He left too early!

I was deeply saddened and shocked when I was told of Marks passing. What I will probably remember most about Mark is his permanent smile… How easy it was to make him laugh… And he always had a positive attitude. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time. You have my deepest sympathy. Steve Cook

To All of Mark's Family, It is times like this we don't understand God's way of doing things...Mrak and Teresa were among my many friends who helped me get through a terrible time in my life, the passing of Bruce.. I'll never forget their kindness... He was also my very favorite singing partner. I think one of my favorite songs Mark and I did was, 'I've Just Seen Jesus'. Mark's beautiful tenor voice was strong and clear. Heaven's choir has gained a beautiful tenor.

Missy, Michael,Amanda, and all the rest of Chaney's family. I got to know Mark"Chaney" Henico on the bus -We were 11 years old. I remember Halloween raids with eggs we "borrowed" from Mark's Mom and Mrs. Engle(The neighborlady) We even got chased by a car load of high school kids that threw "water" balloons at us. We were so scared but we couldn't quit laughing- We were 12 that year and for the last 40 years Mark has been a big part of my memories. All the way up to Sunday the 3rd of May singing at Church. "Power in the Blood" I loved listening to him sing. He will be missed. Now and For YEARS to come.

To all of Mark's family, You are close to my heart and in my prayers during this time of grief. Mark and I started Sunday School together about 50 years ago. We sang in a Trio with Treva for a few years in high school. Mark sang at my mom's funeral and the song that he sang was, "Because He Lives." Please remember that "Because Jesus Lives, We CAN face tomorrow. In Christian love, Sara Moore Correll

I am a special education teacher at Bloomington High School North. I have worked with Mark for the past 5 years. I would like to send to his family my sympathy for your loss. Mark was first and foremost a very good friend to me during this time period. Secondly, he was very skillful in his work particularly with our mutual student but an asset to all the students in my classroom. All of my students thought highly of Mark and each will grieve in their own way as they come to understand what has happened. God, puts people in our lives for many reasons and I thank Him that for this short time period I had to privilege of having Mark a part of my life. I know that my life has been enriched because of him. I know that Mark was a good Christian and I know he is now with his Father in heaven. May God Bless you and be with you through this time in your life.

I watched your dad grow up in church and become the fine man he was. He had a love for music and always a smile. Always remember how proud he was of you and pass that down to your children.
