Georgia J. Bowersock, age 59 of Worthington, died at 12:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 31, 2006 at the Terre Haute Regional Hospital. She was born in Linton on October 5, 1947, the daughter of Clay F. & Emma V. (Criss) Denny. She was formerly employed as a CNA & QMA at the Lyons Nursing Home, and as a CNA at the Glenburn Home. She was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxilary & VFW Ladies Auxilary, both of Worthington, and the Linton Ladies Moose Lodge. She was a hard worker, was a mother to many, and warm hearted with her door always open to others.

She is survived by her three sons, Bobby Don Bowersock of Sandborn, Dustin W. (wife-Sara) Bowersock of Linton, & Mark V. Bowersock of Worthington, two daughters, Charlotte (Bowersock) Robinson of Bloomfield, & Shaunda (Bowersock) Grounds of Linton, three sisters, Harriet (husband-Bill) Durbin of Palastine, IL, Emma Mae (husband-Larry) Meek of Elnora, & Clayetta Heacox of Linton, two brothers, Jim (wife-Melinda) Denny of Lyons, & John F. (wife-Patricia) Denny of Newberry, eleven grandchildren, Ryan, Devon, Justin, Carlee, Shayla, Trent, Braxton, Joshie, Levi, Quinton, & Isaac, and one great-grandchild, Derick.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold Bowersock in 1972, a stillborn son, Tye Alan, and two sisters, Katie L. & Alice Marie Denny.

Funeral Services will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, November 4, 2006, Bro. Tommy Shields officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

A visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M., and from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service on Saturday.

The family suggest memorial contributions be made toward the final expenses through the funeral home.
