Earl "Brownie" Brown, age 77 of Rt. 2 Worthington, passed away at 5:03 P. M. Tuesday, June 13, 2006, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton.
He was born Oct. 22, 1928 in Conehatta, Miss. To Louis & Maggie (Boykin) Brown.
He retired from Allomatic in Sullivan in 2005, he also formerly worked for Williams Pipeline Company.
He was a member of Switz City Full Gospel Church, Greene County and Indiana Gospel Music Association's.
He is survived by his wife, Grace (Kirkpatrick) Brown of Rt. 2 Worthington; 1 son, Steve (Cathy) Brown of Switz City; 3 daughters, Sheryl (Dave) Braswell, Worthington; Debra (Dave) Ramsey of Bloomfield; Tami (Jerry) Tipton of Clarmore, OK; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Hubert Brown of Forrest, Miss.; Ollie Brown of Carthage, Miss.; 1/2 sister, Linda Reed of Natchez, Miss.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 1 grandson, Matthew Ramsey; 3 brothers David, W. J. & Junior Brown.
Funeral service will be at Switz City Full Gospel Church, 227 East St. Switz City, 2:00 P. M. Friday, June 16, 2006, with Bros. Sam Hill & David Ramsey, officiating. Friends may call the Church in Switz City, 4:00 to 8:00 P. M. Thursday, 11:00 AM until time of service.
Burial will be in Prarie Chapel Cemetery.
