Clarence "Clint" Burger

Clarence Clinton Burger, age 85 of Linton, died Wednesday evening, May 24, 2006 at the Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born in Clay County on November 16, 1920, the son of Arthur & Bly (Fields) Burger. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He worked as a Fireman at NSWC Crane until retiring in 1977. He was a member of the Linton First United Methodist Church, the Masonic Lodge in Jasonville, and the Scottish Rite in Terre Haute.

He survived by his wife of sixty-three years, Ida Mae (Barton) Burger of Linton, a daughter, Brenda R. Maybaugh of Terre Haute, two sons, Phillip A. Burger & wife Vicki of Bloomfield & Terry A. Burger & wife Cheryl of Round Rock, Texas, nine grandchildren, Brad & Brian Woods, Lisa Wilber, Justin, Vanessa, Brent, Carey, Carla, & Clint Burger, and one great-grandson, Chase Franklin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, & two sisters.

Funeral Services will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel at 2:30 P.M. Saturday, May 27, 2006, Reverend Doug Witt officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Linton.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with Masonic Services conducted by the Jasonville Masonic Lodge at 6:00 P.M., and after 1:00 P.M. until the time of service on Saturday.
