Vera Mae (Veller) Canada, age 78, of Huntingburg, formerly of Linton, passed away at 6:45 P.M. Sun., Nov. 20, 2005, at Core Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Huntingburg. She was the daughter of Oswell H. Veller & Helen (Reynolds) Veller Laughlin.
She was formerly employed at Four Rivers in Lyons & did wallpaper hanging & dry walling. She was a former member of the Home League of the Salvation Army & the Violet Rebecca Lodge. She enjoyed crocheting & arts & crafts.
Survivors include a daughter, Doretta Walton, of Linton, a sister, Violetta Derossett of New Castle, seven grandchildren, Paula Walton, Scott Walton, Brian Walton, Marvin Walton, Christopher Walton, Eric Canada, & Jennifer Canada, nine great-grandchildren, & three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her stepfather, Ray Laughlin, a son, Michael Canada, & her parents.
Graveside services will be conducted at 10:30 A.M. Fri., Nov. 25, at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Reverend Jim Ramey officiating.
