Melvin L. Blythe, Sr.

Melvin L. Blythe, Sr., age 60, died Monday afternoon, March 2, 2009 at his residence in Linton. He was born in Indianapolis on August 3, 1948, the son of William Mack & Ethel M.(Hall) Blythe. He served in the United States Army. He worked at the Moorman’s Feed Company for several years. His memberships included the American Legion Post #22 & the Moose Lodge, both of Linton. He attended the Linton First Christian Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Tina Blythe of Springville, two sons, Bill Blythe of Washington & Melvin (Mandy) Blythe, Jr. of Jasonville, six grandchildren, Lindsay Creek, Erica, Lynn Marie, & Kaitlyn Alexander, Lyric & Dominic Blythe, several brothers & sisters, and a special friend, Rachael.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jeff Blythe.

Funeral Service will be held at the Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 5:00 P.M. Friday, March 6, 2009.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday one hour prior to the service.

Memorial Contributions can be made to the March of Dimes through the funeral home.
