Pauline V. Bovenschen, age 92, of Linton, passed away at 7:01 A.M. Fri., Feb. 8, 2008, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born Aug. 21, 1915, in West Terre Haute, the daughter of Perry & Mary (McQuay) Rhoden.

She was a homemaker & a member of the Olive Branch Baptist Church in Linton. She was a 1934 graduate of Hymera High School & the mother of the Bovenschen Family Gospel Singers.

Survivors include three daughters, Violet Newton & her husband, Vic, of Linton,
Janice Bingham & her husband, Dale, of Linton, & Elaine West & her husband, Gary, of Linton, a son, Harold “Bud” Bovenschen & his wife, Tina, of Linton, a half sister, Gladys Nichols & her husband, Jim, two half brothers, Joe Davis & Bill Davis, a sister-in-law, Helen Davis, fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, & three great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Arthur Bovenschen, June 3, 1988, a daughter, Lucy Harbaugh, Oct. 23, 1988, a grandson, Matthew Bovenschen, a great-grandchild, Kristian Cox, three sisters, & four brothers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 A.M. Mon., Feb. 11, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel, Revs. Myron Young & Dan Kemp officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4-9 P.M. Sun. & after 9 A.M. Mon. at the funeral home.
