Sarah June Armpriester, age 83, of Fayetteville, NC, formerly of Bicknell, passed away at 5:15 A.M. Mon., Aug. 27, 2007, at Cape Fear Valley Hospital in Fayetteville, NC. She was born Sept. 12, 1923, in Linton, the daughter of Charles & Madge Hazel (Helms) Rogers.
She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Springfield, OH, was a homemaker & formerly owned the End-O-Day Motel in Bicknell.
Survivors include a son, Rev. James M. Armpriester, Rel. D, & his wife, Janice of
Fayetteville, NC, three grandchildren, Rev. James M. Armpriester, Jr. of Niagara Falls, NY, John K. Armpriester of Raleigh, NC, & Joseph B. Armpriester of Columbus, OH, five great-grandchildren, James M. Armpriester, III, Joseph B. Armpriester, Jr., Gabriella R. Armpriester, Courtney S. Armpriester, & Lauren N. Armpriester, one sister, Charlotte Rogers Buckner of Fayetteville, NC & one brother, Oscar F. Rogers of Newcastle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Elwood Armpriester in WW II & by her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home Linton Chapel, at 3:00 P.M. Friday, August 31, 2007, Rev. James M. Armpriester, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Linton.
Friends may call from 2:00 P.M. until the time of service on Friday.
