Hazel M. Burris, age 84, of Linton, passed away at 1:45 A.M. Wed., Aug. 8, 2007, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. She was born Dec. 2, 1922, in Linton, the daughter of William & Eva Leona (Hochstetler) Terrell.
She was a homemaker & a member of the Linton First Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Robert L. Burris & his wife, Fran, of Summerville, SC & Stanley Lee Burris, Jr. & his wife, Natalie, of Terre Haute, four daughters, Eva Walker of Anaheim, CA, Cynthia Frederick & her husband, Perry, of Linton, Marion Anne Alley & her husband, John, of Barstow, CA, & Wanieta J. Ryall & her husband, Mark, of Lawrenceville, GA, a sister, Mary Lou Gouckenour & her husband, Fred, of Linton, thirteen grandsons, six granddaughters, & several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Stanley Lee Burris, Sr., a sister, Wanieta Pearl, three brothers, Roy, William, & Robert Terrell, & two daughters, Melinda Grimes & Katherine Lohr.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Sat., Aug. 11, at Linton First Baptist Church, Rev. David Tyra officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery in Linton.
