Our Crematory

In 1981, to better serve the community, Walton Funeral Home installed a crematory.  This state of the art unit can cremate a human remains in just over two hours, with emissions from the crematory being less than that of a wood burning stove.  The 15 foot long unit heats to over 1800 degrees.

After the cremation, the remains are raked into a metal pan, and processed in the most modern processing unit available.  This turns the bone fragments into a fine powder.  The ashes are then placed into a temporary container, or selected urn.
