Henry Wimbley | | | | | Henry Clayton Wimbley, Sr., 46, of 163 Wedgewood Drive, Moyock, NC died Saturday, October 24, 2009 at his residence. Born in Norfolk, VA he was the son of Sarah Marie Hoskin Wimbley of the home and the late Everette Lassie Wimbley. He was a Baptist.
Besides his mother, Mr. Wimbley is survived by one son Henry Clayton Wimbley, Jr. of Elizabeth City, NC; six sisters Janice Hicks of Moyock, NC, Carol Wright of Chesapeake, VA, Linda Coy and Betty Brown both of Moyock, NC, Lea Weatherly of Hertford, NC, and Hilda Parrish of Portsmouth, VA; three brothers Everette C. Wimbley of Chesapeake, VA, Preston A. Wimbley of Portsmouth, VA, and Ronald G. Wimbley of Alabama, one grandchild, eighteen nieces and nephews, twenty one great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday October 27, 2009 at 2:00PM in Twiford Funeral Home, Memorial Chapel 405 East Church St. in Elizabeth City, NC by Rev. James Scott. Burial will follow in Laurel Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Currituck County. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:80 PM and other times at the residence of his mother 163 Wedgewood Drive.
