Effie Pauline Creekmore, 82, of 258 Highway 158 East, Camden, NC died Wednesday, October 14, 2009, at her residence. Born in Camden County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Bruce G. and Effie Harris Creekmore. Miss Creekmore had worked as a bookkeeper for the R.C. Abbott Tractor Company and had helped run the Creekmore Store in Belcross. She was a member of Sawyer’s Creek Baptist Church.
Miss Creekmore is survived by her cousins, Clarann C. Mansfield, Greg Buckley, Elvie H. McCloud, Carlton Harris, and Bunch McPherson.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Twiford’s Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Sholar officiating. Burial will be in Old Hollywood Cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the service in the lobby of the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Sawyer’s Creek Baptist Church, 241 Sawyer’s Creek Road, Camden, NC 27921.
