| | Theodore "Teddy" McCreedy | | | | | Kitty Hawk, NC
On the evening of July 5, 2009, Theodore “Teddy” McCreedy unexpectedly passed away at his home. He was a resident of Kitty Hawk, NC most of his adult life. He was born on March 22, 1956 to Anna May and William “Ward” McCreedy in Detroit, Michigan. He traveled with his parents to Brownsville, Texas and Arlington, Virginia where he graduated from Yorktown High School in 1975. He then moved with his parents to Kitty Hawk NC and resided there until his death. He loved the outdoors. His favorite things were his dogs, friends and family. He loved hunting and fishing. He was employed at Victory Cheverolet at the time of his death. He also worked many years at TW's Bait & Tackle.
Teddy was preceded in death by his father, William “Ward” McCreedy. He is survived by his mother, Anna May McCreedy, formerly of Kitty Hawk, NC; a brother, Philip (Laurie) McCreedy of Springfield, VA; a sister, Ann (Ken) Parkington of Clarksburg, WV; a nephew, Ryan McCreedy of Springfield, VA; a niece, Sarah (Michael) Saladini of Springfield, VA; a great nephew, Mason Saladini of Springfield, VA; a niece, Erin (Michael) Robinson of Snellville, GA; five great nephews, Issac, Ezra, Joel, Nathan and Judah Robinson all of Snellville, GA; and a niece, Sarah Parkington of Quarryville, PA.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of St. Andrews By-the-Sea Episcopal Church on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Teddy's name to St. Andrews By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, P.O. Box 445, Nags Head, NC 27959.
