Cremation offers many options for final disposition of the cremated remains. One option is to retain a portion of the remains in a keepsake urn, which is a miniature size urn, similar in design to a larger one. Many urns are available in both larger (standard) sizes, as well as in matching keepsake sizes. Some families purchase a larger urn in which to inter the remains in a grave, and several keepsakes, so that family members may keep a portion of the remains at home. Another option is purchasing keepsake jewelry, as pictured above. This is becoming more and more popular. Many different designs of pendants are available, with different materials, such as sterling silver and solid gold. Diamond insets are available also, for an elegant look. Bracelets are also available which contain a portion of the cremated remains, as well as a birthstone of choice. A lock of hair could be stored in the keepsakes as well, or instead of cremated remains. This is not "costume jewelry", but quality silver and gold jewelry. A wide range of styles and prices are available. For more information, go to Wilbert Jewelry , Aurora Casket Company Jewelry, or Contact Us for more information.
