William W. Barger, Sr., age 74 years of Westwood Drive, Tiffin, Ohio and Mesa, Arizona, died at 12:01 A.M. Thursday, May 5, 2005, in Banner Hospice, Mesa Arizona. He was born on August 29, 1930, in Tiffin, Ohio to Wallace C. and Mary Ann (Ridge) Barger. They are deceased. On August, 22, 1954 in Marion, Ohio he married Julia M. Campbell. She survives.
Other survivors include, 1 son, William W. Barger, Jr. of Marion, Ohio; 3 daughters, Denise Ann (Charles Szablewski; Diane Kay (John) Riehm; and Deborah Sue (Donald) Ellis all of Tiffin; 11 Grandchildren; 3 Great Grandchildren; 1 brothers, James E. (Kathy) Barger of Findlay, Ohio; 2 sisters, Joan (Raymond) Ernst, of Tiffin, and Patricia Schmidt of Findlay, Ohio. He is preceded in death by 1 son, Bradley who died in 1964.
Mr. Barger, served in the United States Army during the Korea Conflict from 1951-1953. He was the retired CO-owner of Miss Julie’s Restaurant, and had previously owned Barger’s Poultry on Second Avenue, in Tiffin. He was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist church, the Tiffin Kiwanis Club and he enjoyed shuffleboard.
There will be no visitation, but there will be a public graveside service at Greenlawn Cemetery with Rev. Scott Hayward officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Ebenezer United Methodist Church, Tiffin in care of Traunero Funeral Home, 214 S. Monroe Street, Tiffin, Ohio 44883, 419-447-3113.
