Helen Mary (Omlor) Baumgardner, 92 of W. Market Street, Tiffin, Ohio where she had lived all of her married life, died at 8:18 p.m. Sunday, November 28, 2004 in Mercy Hospital, Tiffin.
She was born February 8, 1912, in tiffin, to the late John N. and Cora (Allman) Omlor. her husband, Gaylord Baumgardner, whom she married January 13, 1940 in St. Mary Catholic church, Tiffin, is deceased.
Survivors include; 2 daughters, Judy Baumgardner, of Pleasanton, California, and Jill Anne Baumgardner of Tiffin, a daughter in law Mija Baumgardner of Fremont, 4 grandchildren, William and Robert Baumgardner, Sherry Guzman, and Lea Kristine Harte; 12 great grandchildren; Barbara Lang of Sandusky, and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were a son, Richard Lee Baumgardner: 8 brothers, William, Paul, Albert, John, Robert, Louis, Francis, and Richard Omlor.
Mrs. Baumgardner, was a graduate of the Nursing School at Mercy College of Toledo, and had been a registered nurse at Mercy Hospital in Tiffin for 20 years. She also did private duty and general duty nursing. She was an avid gardener and a devoted mother to her children.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic church, Tiffin, and its Rosary Altar Society.
Rev. David M. Ross will officiate the funeral Mass. The Rosary will be recited 15 minutes prior to the Mass at the church. Burial will take place immediately following the Mass in St. Mary Catholic Cemetery.
