| | | Sister Georgiana Agerter, 63, of the Sisters of St. Francis in Tiffin, died at 2:17 A.M. Saturday, October 23, 2004 at St. Francis Convent,
She was born June 16, 1941 in Tiffin, Ohio, to Robert Lee and Virginia Mae (Hoerig) Agerter.
Surviving is her sister, Glad Barto and her husband Mac Bennett of Surprise, Arizona and Alexandria, Louisiana. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Phyllis Coffman.
Sister Georgiana’s ministries included: domestic work at Tiffin, Payne, Carey, New Cleveland, Custar, Blakeslee, and Upper Sandusky; child care, Toledo; food service in Carey, Tiffin, Toledo, Monroe, Michigan, Trenton, Michigan, and Maggie Valley, North Carolina; office manager in Ypsilanti, Michigan, and hospitality ministry at Franciscan Renewal Center in Carey . At the time of her death she was a nursing assistant in the convent infirmary.
Sister Georgiana was a vivacious and fun-loving person who enjoyed life. She loved taking Communion to the sick, visiting the elderly, and being with her family.
The Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 A.M. Tuesday, October 26, 2004 in the St. Francis Convent Chapel, 200 St. Francis Ave., Tiffin, Ohio 44883. Burial will be in St. Francis Convent cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2-5 & 6-8 P.M. Monday, October 25, 2004 at the St. Francis Convent Chapel. A Christian Wake Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. at the chapel on Monday. Memorials may be made to St. Francis Convent or St. Francis Home.
