| | | | Hilda J. Blust, age 93, of Tiffin, Ohio, died October 24, 2001 at St. Francis Home. She was born to Albert and Elizabeth (Heinan) Boes on May 28, 1908 in Ink, Ohio. She married Wilfrid Blust, on June 27, 1935 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Tiffin. He preceded her in death in 1969.
Survivors include 1 son, James Blust; 2 daughters, LaDonna Distel, Mary Jane Shelt; 8 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Alvern Boes and Wilbert (Pete) Boes. She is preceded in death by 1 brother, Florian Boes; 3 sisters Erma Gosche, Dorothy Kuhn, Helen Heinrichs; 1 grandson, Kevin Shelt; and 1 great granddaughter, Lydia Distel.
Mrs. Blust was a homemaker, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a volunteer at Mercy Hospital, the Bloodmobile, a member of Daughters of Isabella, Altar Rosary Society, and St. Francis Auxiliary. She enjoyed fishing, knitting, crocheting, traveling, gardening, swimming and spending time with her grandchildren.
The burial will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Contributions may be made to Calvert High School or to Tiffin Right to Life.
