Kevin D. Betler, age 49 of Helvetia, WV, passed away Sunday, July 8, 2012 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born March 30, 1963 in Buckhannon, WV. He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert D. and Geraldine Smith Betler and brother-in-law, James C. Brown. Surviving are his sister, Claudette D. Brown of Mansfield, OH; brother, Darren D. Betler of Terra Alta, WV; nieces and nephews, Jerianne, Lauren, and Jordan Brown; Ella and Dillon Betler and a great-nephew, Deonta Davis, II. Kevin is a graduate of West Virginia University and worked at the United States Department of Agriculture in Elkins, WV. He is a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church in Helvetia. He served on the Helvetia Cemetery Board and was an active member of the Pickens Alumni Association. Memorial services will be held at Zion Presbyterian Church in Helvetia at 1:00 pm, Sunday, July 15, 2012. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in memory of Kevin D. Betler to the Zion Presbyterian Church.
