Willetta Rose “Billie” Bittinger age 74 of Buckhannon, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2008 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. She was born January 2, 1934 in Mountain Lake Park, MD, the daughter of the late William H. and Helen Belle McRobie.
She is survived by her husband Stanley L. Bittinger whom she married on November 27, 1951; 2 daughters Debora S. Rowland and husband Robert L. of Ellamore, Kimberly K. Cogar and husband Howard E. of Webster Springs, WV; 5 grandchildren Bobby Allen Farley, Kristin Dawn Rowland, Stephen O’Neil Groggs, Rachel Nicole Abel and Joshua David Hess; 4 great grandchildren Dorian Groggs, Gage Groggs, Donovan Abel and Judah Abel and a host of step grandchildren; a sister Patricia Kisner of Baltimore, MD and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Bittinger was a homemaker and a past Senior Regent of Chapter #319 WOTM and a member of the Chapel Hill United Methodist Church.
Visitation will be Friday August 8, 2008 at 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church with the funeral on Saturday, August 9, 2008. She will lie in state from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM the funeral hour at the Church with Dr. Joseph Shreve officiating. Burial will follow in the Upshur County Memorial Park in Tennerton, WV.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made to the Wesley Crusaders Sunday School Class of Chapel Hill UM Church.
