| ADKIN, Ruth Emma, age 97 of Kettering, Ohio, formerly of Rochester, New York, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the Liberty Retirement Community in Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Russell; her son, James; her sisters, Edna Mann & Gladys Wiard Sharp; and her brother James Peck. She is survived by her daughter, Doris Ford and her husband, Bruce; three grandchildren, Kimberly Adams of Columbus, Ohio, Lisa Homer of Springboro, Ohio and Wendy Putnam of Wake Forest, NC; five great grandchildren, Benjamin, Ryan, Andrea, Elizabeth and Hannah; her brother, Russell Peck; her daughter-in-law, Brenda Simpson & her daughter, Annie; and numerous nieces and nephews. There will be a private visitation at the family’s convenience. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Rochester, New York. Memorial contributions may be made in Ruth’s name to the American Heart Association or Odyssey Health Care, 3085 Woodman Dr., Suite 200, Dayton, Ohio 45420.
