| MEEK, Iris C., age 82 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2009 at the Elmcroft Assisted Living. Iris was born on June 5, 1926 in London, England to Edward Henry and Rosina (Willett) Wheeler. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Roma who died on May 9, 1996. Iris met Roma in London, England during WW II and married January 5, 1946. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Rose and Gladys; a brother, Len; and a great granddaughter, Jamie Bryant. She is survived by her two sons, Barry and Greg (Shirley) Meek and her grandchildren, Nicolyn (Kevin) Meek Hoffman, Paula (Ron) Ruppert and Mike (Shelley) Bryant; ten great grandchildren, Madison, Keegan & Camden Hoffman, Rachel (John) Wolfinbarger, Alex, Jeremy & Jake Ruppert, Jessica & Michael Bryant and Heather Sortman; and numerous other relatives and friends. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Kettering and the Kettering Rec. Center. Iris enjoyed her family, dinners and dancing. Despite being diabetic she still loved her chocolate. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, March 29, 2009 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME - FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. at Rahn Rd., with the funeral service at 3:30 p.m. Pastor Chuck Wolfinbarger.
