Mary Irene Bland Dimmick
Ms. Dimmick was born in Somerset, Kentucky in 1923 and then moved to Dayton in the early 1950’s. Her business career started in sales and marketing with Avon products, where she retired as a marketing director. She then turned her interests to real-estate and investing. She won many awards throughout her life including the title of Kentucky Colonel. Her later years were spent traveling around the country and at her ranch in South Dakota and her winter home in Harlingen, Texas, where she passed away. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Hille, of Bainbridge, Ohio, and her sister Ovalene Rogers, of Kettering, Ohio. She is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Vercie Bland (Beasley), her husband, Ray Dimmick, and her sister, Judy Sears. Irene spent her life helping others and was a good friend to many. She will be missed and remembered always. Funeral services in care of Tobias Funeral Home-Belmont Chapel, and will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm at the Woodland Mausoleum. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are sent to Hospice of Dayton.
