| AKERS, Jane R. age 79 of Washington Township, OH passed away Sunday, July 16, 2006. She was a retired school administrator from the Alpha School with 25 years of service, was a former substitute teachers aide with the Centerville Schools, a member of P.E.O. Sisterhood for 57 years, the Pi Beta Phi Sorority at the University of Colorado, Southminster Presbyterian Church, and was active in many bridge clubs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Akers Jr. She is survived by 2 sons, Terrence Akers & wife Kathy of Kettering, OH & Christopher Akers & wife Karen of Orlando, FL; a daughter, Alison Hudson & husband Randy of Kettering, OH; 1 sister, Kathryn Mitchell & husband Donald of Brush, CO; and 8 grandchildren; Lauren & Bryan Akers, Nathan, Kevin, Stephanie, & Jared Akers, and Benjamin & William Hudson. Funeral service 10 AM Thursday, July 20, 2003 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME-FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. Rev. Katherine Horne officiating. Interment, David’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 5 to 8 PM. If desired, memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice of Dayton or the American Cancer Society.
