| Alsop, Hazel L., age 95, of Dayton, passed away Monday, March 13, 2006 at Walnut Creek Nursing Center. Hazel was preceded in death, in 1981, by her loving husband of 54 years, Roscoe, as well as seven brothers and sisters. Hazel is survived by her daughter; Gloria and husband Tom Phillips, grandchildren; Barbara and husband Phil Sowders, Ken and wife Kim Phillips, all of Dayton and great-grandchildren; Ashley Sowders and Matthew Sowders, nieces; Virginia Garcia and Esther Burg and many great- nieces and nephews. Hazel retired from the GM division of Delco-Moraine and was a faithful member of Dayton Baptist Temple. The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the loving staff at Walnut Creek Nursing Center, for the loving care given to Hazel for the past 14 years, especially Andrea Fisher and the nurses who cared for Hazel, from Hospice of Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – BELMONT CHAPEL, 648 Watervliet Ave. Pastor H.C. O’Bryant officiating. Interment Miami Valley Memory Gardens. The family will receive visitors from 11 AM until 1 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Cornerstone Baptist Temple or Blessed Hope Baptist Church, in Hazel’s name. | ||
