| ANDRE, Richard Donald, age 81 of West Carrollton, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008 at the Hospice Care Center. Richard was born on June 15, 1927 in Huntington, West Virginia to Lloyd Wilson Andre and Harriet Lay (Forman) Andre. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Robin Sue Hinshaw on October 27, 2008; his brothers, Frank, George and John Andre; and his sister, Marion Crossman. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Marianne Coberly (Jeffers) Andre; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl Ann and Dr. Robert Froehlich of Chicago; his granddaughters; Jessica Elizabeth Hinshaw-Goodman of Dayton, Marianne Elizabeth Neidhart and her husband Chris and Stephanie Marie Froehlich of Chicago; his great granddaughter, Elizabeth Madison Goodman; son-in-law, Philip R. Hinshaw of Dayton; his sisters, Anna Kaplan and her husband, Sam and Ruth Bernardin and her husband, James; and many nieces and nephews. He was a Naval veteran of WW II. He received his B.A. degree from Marshall University and his M.S. degree from the University of Dayton. He was a member of Stillwater Lodge #616 F. & A.M., Scottish Rite Valley of Dayton and Riverdale Optimist Club He retired from the Beavercreek School System in 1988. The family will receive friends from 1-3:00 p.m. Saturday, January 3, 2009 at the TOBIAS FUNERAL HOME – FAR HILLS CHAPEL, 5471 Far Hills Ave. and Rahn Rd., with a memorial service 3:00 p.m. Chaplain Jeff Hall officiating.
