| Albers, Howard C. age 77, of Centerville, passed away Saturday, October 4th 2008. Howard was born April 1st, 1931 in Dayton, Ohio to John H. and Rosella (Fischer) Albers. He was preceded in death by his parents,first wife Pauline (Zwolski) to which he was married for 51 years, son Ronald, sister Clara and a brother Leonard. He is survived by wife Genevieve (Zwolski), children Barbara Belanger, Steven, Susan Smith and husband Tim, grandchildren, Rebecca Belanger and Lauren Smith. Other surviving relatives include a brother Edward and wife Geraldine, his step children and step grandchildren and other numerous family and close friends. Howard was a dedicated member of St. Albert the Great church and actively involved in Eucharistic Ministry. Howard retired from Ohio Bell after 35 years of service. During his employment with Ohio Bell he was recognized and awarded the Theodore N. Vail Award for his heroic life saving public service act on July 9, 1985. He volunteered many years of service with Kettering Hospital, Habitat for Humanity and St. Vincent DePaul. Howard enjoyed traveling, spending time with family and friends and lived life to the fullest. He will be dearly missed. Prayers 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, October 8th, 2008 at the funeral home with the Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 p.m. at St. Albert the Great Church 3033 Far Hills Ave. Kettering, Ohio with Father Jim Manning and Father Thomas Schmidt officiating.
