Dolores LeRoy
LaFrance, South Carolina – Dolores LeRoy, 78, formerly of Hyde Park, where she resided most of her life, died Monday, October 12, 2009 in the Hospice House, LaFrance, SC.
She was born on December 19, 1930 to George and Stella (Klucharich) Varela.
Dolores worked at the Hudson River State Hospital for over thirty-nine years until her retirement in 1985.
On January 13, 1951, she married Howard LeRoy Sr. He predeceased her on November 12, 1999.
She is survived by three children, Robert LeRoy and wife, Patricia, of Hyde Park; Howard LeRoy Jr. and wife, Suzette, of Clinton Comers; and Gary LeRoy and wife, Debbie, of South Carolina; four grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and a brother, Robert Varela and his wife, Genevieve, of Modena.
She enjoyed camping, walking and cooking.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside services and burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Rev. Elizabeth Travis Clarkson will officiate.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet’s Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
