Hyde Park - Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend, Dolores passed away on October 12, 2009 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Born in Poughkeepsie on February 28, 1927, she was the youngest daughter of the late Harry A. Baker and Myrtle Willson Baker.
Dolores attended the original F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park and was a member of its 1946 graduating class.
On October 6, 1946 in the former Hedding Methodist Church, she married Lloyd N. Funk, who predeceased her on December 25, 2005.
She took pride in spending time with her beloved husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. In her spare time, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, doing jigsaw puzzles, and playing scrabble. She also enjoyed making Sunday family dinner.
Dolores is survived by two sons, Richard Funk of Hyde Park, and Jimmy Funk and wife, Diane, of Salt Point; five daughters, Patricia Dugon of Poughkeepsie, Marjorie Mozdzierz and husband, Alexander, of Hyde Park, Wanda Green and husband, Ronald, of Poughkeepsie, Vicki Evans and husband, Joseph, of Hyde Park, and Robin Harbold of Hyde Park; eighteen grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Wayne in 1987; three additional infant children; five brothers; and four sisters.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside services and burial in the family plot in Union Cemetery of Hyde Park will be private.
