| | | Poughkeepsie - James P. Kette, 61, a lifelong Poughkeepsie resident, died Wednesday, July 15, 2009 at Vassar Bros. Medical Center.
He was a driver for several years with Westchester Linen in Poughkeepsie until his retirement.
He attended Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
Born in Malone, NY on July 16, 1947, he was the son of the late Earl J. and Rose LeClair Kette.
He is survived by a brother, Ronald Kette of Poughkeepsie; two sisters, Helen McCombs and husband, John, of Hyde Park, and Theresa Fazio of New Rochelle; nieces and nephews, Kathy Morales and husband, Dan, of Clintondale, John McCombs and wife, Deborah, of LaGrange, Christine Fazio of New York City, and Stephen Fazio of Binghamton; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 pm, Friday, July 17, 2009 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
A funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm during the calling hours.
Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
