Staatsburg - Lucille J. Yambrick, 77, a Staatsburg resident for 52 years and previously of Poughkeepsie, died Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at home.
Mrs. Yambrick first worked doing assembly at the former Schatz Federal Bearing in Poughkeepsie, where she met her husband, Michael. She went on to work as a Manager at the former Burger King in Hyde Park until her retirement.
Lucille was a member of the Women of the Moose, Poughkeepsie Chapter #428, where she had attained the College of Regents Degree.
She enjoyed spending time with her family, knitting, and cooking and baking.
Mrs. Yambrick attended the Hyde Park Reformed Dutch Church.
Born in New Paltz on June 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Emery and Edna G. Hasbrouck. She attended New Paltz Schools.
On July 28, 1951 in Bel Air, Maryland, she married Michael J. Yambrick. He predeceased her on December 24, 1999.
She is survived by two daughters, Donna Marie Pakan and husband, Robert, of Syracuse, and Lisa Ann Yambrick - Losee and husband, Ted, of Poughkeepsie; a son, Michael J. Yambrick Jr. and wife, Kimberly, of Gallatin; nine grandchildren, Stephen, Jonathan, and Robert Pakan, Cassandra and Tanner Losee, and Michael John III and wife, Ann, Shalon Yambrick - Morris and husband, Vincent, and Jennifer and Travis Yambrick; three great grandchildren, Aleksa, Rebecca, and Mikey; two sisters, Gertrude Holden of New Paltz, and Elizabeth Bathrick of Hyde Park; a brother, Roland Hasbrouck of New Paltz; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Myrtle Bonner and Jewel Miller; and four brothers, George, William, Donald, and Raymond Hasbrouck.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside services and burial will take place at 1 pm, Friday, July 17, 2009 in the family plot in Union Cemetery, Rte. 9G, Hyde Park. Rev. Thom Fiet will be officiating.
Memorial donations may be made to the Hospice Foundation, 374 Violet Ave., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601, or the Foundation for Vassar Bros. Medical Center, (restricted to the Dyson Center for Cancer Care), 45 Reade Pl., Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
Arrangements are under the direction of Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
