| | | Poughkeepsie - Jean M. O'Meara, 56, a thirty-five year local resident, died Monday, July 6, 2009 at home.
A homemaker, Ms. O'Meara enjoyed playing bingo, and was a communicant of Regina Coeli Church in Hyde Park.
Born in the Bronx on March 11, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Patricia Manheimer Terkildsen. She was a graduate of Pelham High School.
She is survived by three children, Thomas P. O'Meara and wife, Michelle, of Hopewell Junction, Cara A. O'Meara and fiancé, Walter Williams, of Wappingers Falls, and Matthew J. O'Meara of Hyde Park; five grandchildren, Tommy, Kiara, and Kadan O'Meara, and Cierra and Walter Williams; a brother, Michael Terkildsen of Kansas; and her former husband, Tom O'Meara of Hyde Park.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter, Ann Marie O'Meara.
In accordance with Jean’s wishes, cremation has taken place.
Memorial calling hours will be from 3 to 5 Pm, Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Sweet's Funeral Home Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
A service will take place at 4:30 pm during the calling hours.
