| | | Poughkeepsie - Rose Ann G. Pelletier, 65, a life long Poughkeepsie resident, passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie after a long illness.
Mrs. Pelletier worked as a secretary at IBM in both Fishkill and Poughkeepsie for nearly twenty years until her retirement.
Rose Ann enjoyed going to bingo and making trips to casinos.
She was a communicant of St. Peter's Church in Hyde Park.
Born in Poughkeepsie on February 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Anthony R. Germano Sr. and Rose M. Gurdine Germano. She was a graduate of Poughkeepsie High School.
On April 29, 1967 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Poughkeepsie, she married Edward J. Pelletier Jr.. Mr Pelletier survives at home.
Rose Ann's family was very important to her. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two brothers, Ronald J. Germano and Anthony R. Germano Jr., both of Poughkeepsie; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two sisters, Patricia Albrycht and Marie Klein, and a niece, Tara Klein.
Calling hours will be from 4 to 7 Pm, Friday, June 19, 2009 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
Graveside services and burial will take place at 11:30 A.M., Saturday, June 20th in the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie. Rev. James A. Garisto will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Northeast NY Chapter, 423A New Karner Rd., Albany, NY 12205.
