Pensacola, FL - Fannie M. Ackert Cashdollar, 83, a resident of Hyde Park and Highland until moving to Pensacola in 1991, died Friday, May 29, 2009 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola.
Born on February 19, 1926 in Hudson, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. Seaton Sr. and Clara Mae Sloniker Seaton.
Fannie married Herman Ackert on January 17, 1951 in the Town of Clinton. Mr. Ackert predeceased her on May 21, 1972.
She married Clifford Cashdollar on October 16, 1976 at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Hyde Park. Mr. Cashdollar survives in Pensacola, Florida.
Mrs. Cashdollar worked for many years at the former Bennett College in Millbrook as a food service worker and laundry aid.
She then worked for Hudson River State Hospital in Poughkeepsie as a dietary cook, before becoming a custodian worker at F. D. Roosevelt High School in the Hyde Park Central School District, until her retirement in 1989.
Fannie was a member of St. James’ Episcopal Church in Hyde Park. She enjoyed crocheting and was an avid bowler with the Prime Time Ladies at Mardi-Bob Lanes in Poughkeepsie, and the Saturday and Sunday night Mixers at Hoe Bowl lanes in Hyde Park.
Mrs. Cashdollar was a life member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Vail Wolf McKenna Frye VFW Post #170, in Poughkeepsie.
Survivors include her two daughters, Mary Wardell and her husband, John, of Poughkeepsie, and Clara Ackert of Pensacola; two step-daughters, Diana Minners and her husband, Robert, of Hudson, NY., and Jennie Cashdollar of Augusta, GA; three step-sons, Jerry Cashdollar of Red Hook, James Cashdollar of Augusta, GA, and Michael Cashdollar of Saugerties; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Louise Ackert; three brothers, John Seaton, Roger Seaton Sr., and Thomas Seaton Jr.; and a sister, Rosemarie Moore. She was also predeceased by a life time friend, Samuel Lasher.
There are no calling hours.
Burial in the family plot in Schultzville Cemetery will take place at the convenience of the family.
