Highland - Charlotte B. Robinson, 91, a resident of the Hudson Valley Rehabilitation & Extended Care Center in Highland and former longtime Hyde Park resident, died Saturday, March 21, 2009.
Previously of New York City, she was born in Queens on January 7, 1918 to the late Charles and Erna Hagenay Richter.
Charlotte was proud to have her picture with five generations of her family portrayed in the Poughkeepsie Journal.
In August, 1938 in Hyde Park, she married Kenneth D. Robinson. He predeceased her on October 31, 1979.
She is survived by her daughter, Erna Moyer and husband, John, of Newburgh; six grandchildren, John Moyer Jr., Kevin Moyer, Nadine Moyer, Robin Bailey, Katrina Schaab, and Christopher Moyer; nineteen great grandchildren; eleven great-great grandchildren; four sisters, Jean Schaffer of Virginia, Mildred Horton of Hyde Park, and Marianna Briggs of Port Ewen; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Robinson Jr.; two brothers, Herbert, Wallace, and Carlton Richter; and three sisters, Edith Beesmer, and Ethel and Dorothy Richter.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 Pm, Tuesday, March 24, 2009 at Sweet's Funeral Home, Inc., Rte. 9, Hyde Park.
Funeral services will be at 10 am on Wednesday, March 25th at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Union Cemetery of Hyde Park.
