General

Beyond Indigo-Award winning website that offers a tremendous source of information on grief, grieving, death, and dying. There are advice columns, chat rooms, and a very broad scope of content. Highly recommended.

American Association of Retired Persons-The largest nonprofit organization dedicated to the interests of the elderly, AARP offers a comprehensive site with a life transitions section that includes information on wills and probate, and grief and coping.

Grief Net-Grief Net is a nonprofit community Internet site consisting of more than 30 email support groups. Grief Net is supervised by a clinical grief psychologist.

Growth House-Growth House provides information, advice, and support groups to assist visitors enduring various physical, emotional, and psychological issues.

The Widow Net-WidowNet serves as an information and self-help resource for, and by, widows and widowers. Topics covered include grief, bereavement and recovery for people whom have suffered the death of a spouse or life partner.

Counseling

The Compassionate Friends-The mission of The Compassionate Friends is to assist families suffering from grief following the death of a child. Compassionate Friends also provides information to help others be supportive.

Kid's Aid is a child-friendly site for children in grief (and parents of grieving children) to find information and ask questions regarding coping with the loss of a loved one.

Hospice

Children's Hospice International-CHI provides a network of support and care for children with life-threatening conditions and their families.

Hospice Foundation of America-This site provides resources that are useful in coping with terminal illness, death and grief.

National Hospice Organization-The NHO was founded in 1978 to help educate the public about hospice care.

Pregnancy Loss and Sudden Infant Death Syndrome

SIDS Network of Kansas-The Kansas SIDS Network site provides a safe place for grieving families after the loss of an infant to SIDS. The site also has space available for pictures of Kansas ANGELS. Families are also given the opportunity to interact through E-mail with other Kansans who have experienced a SIDS death.

Hygeia Foundation-The Hygeia Foundation is a program focusing on the international community of families that have experienced the loss of a pregnancy, newborn, or infant child.

SIDS Network-The SIDS Network provides support for those who have experienced or been involved with the tragedy of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome.

Suicide

Suicide Information and Education Center-The Suicide Information & Education Center is a library and resource center providing information on suicide and suicidal behavior.
