The funeral home was originally founded in 1945 by J. Arvid Danielson and Glen Ball and was known as the Danielson-Ball Funeral Home. The home was built in the late 1800's as a private residence and was later converted and remodeled for funeral home use. In the mid 1950's Glen's son, Eddie, came on board and purchased Mr. Danielson's interest in the firm. They then changed the name to Ball & Son Funeral Home and operated the firm together for many years. Glen passed away in 1980, leaving Eddie to operate the business for the next several years.

In 1996, the firm was purchased by the Stockham family and they continue to operate the funeral home with some of the same old fashioned principals and traditions that were initiated by it's founders long ago. However, they also bring many fresh ideas and a new perspective to the community to insure that each family is given the finest in personalized service with special emphasis on attention to detail.

We thank you for taking the time to visit our site. We'd appreciate it if you would sign our guest book along with any comments about what you like or don't like about our web site.

Just as we told each of you at Lucile Spences funeral, we think both of you do a super job in your service to McPherson and community. Keep up the good work and thanks to both of you for keeping up your web site. We check it daily.

I came across your site when I was doing some research on family history. Arvid Danielson, the original owner of the home, was my great-grandfather. My cousins and I grew up begging my grandmother, Gloria Winblad, to tell us stories of what it was like to grow up in a funeral home! It is such a blessing to be able to access information about the funeral home on your website...thanks for putting it together! Krista Boan Fairway, Kansas

This site is great, your services and LOVE SHOWN are even greater. I have been involved with this funeral home for five family members now and am so impressed I am using your services even from almost 100 miles away. God bless you, because He surely does bless us with your services.

I didn't know you had this site. I am so glad you do. I found it completely by accident and I loved reading Grandpa Kaseys' obituary again and seeing his picture. You and Tammy were so thoughtful and kind when he passed away and after. It meant so much to grandma and mom and all of us too....Thank you! God bless you both

I am quite impressed with the way you have this site set up. I have looked at many funeral home sites and none I have found are as complete as yours. Practically everything one would need to know about funeral services is within. You have to be simply the very best kind of people to have taken so much time with this.
