|Cindy, Becky and Zoanne,
Georgie called to let me know that Uncle Eddie had passed on. Eddie was such a blessing to our family; fun loving, smiling full of life! I have two memories that stand out above the others and I want to share them with you.
First, the sleigh ride in the back 40 to pick out a Christmas tree. It was so Dickens except Eddie saved all the pretty trees and cut down a miserable tree, so for Christmas, it could be dazzling. Isn’t that a great childhood memory?
My second memory is much more recent. Eddie’s ninetieth birthday party was amazing. Eddie loved life and he lived it large. That day I couldn’t help but compare Eddie and his friends to Yoda in Star Wars. You see old Yoda had to fight against the villain. He limped out to the fight, drew out his light savor and when the fight began everything changed. He wasn’t old feeble Yoda anymore! He jumped and ducked and moved like the wind slashing his light savor expertly. Then when the fight ended, he put away his light savor and limped away, satisfied with his work.
So went the dance at the birthday party. Eddie and his friends slowly hobbled and limped out on the dance floor, but as soon as the music started everything changed! They bopped to the music and glided across the floor like they were 25 again! Then when it was time to stop, they all hobbled and limped back with facing glowing and hearts laughing. I want to be like Uncle Eddie.
Eddie was a good man and a good uncle to all of us kids. He will be missed by u s, but I know all of heaven is smiling, laughing and probably dancing!
God Bless, LuAnn|

|Cindy, Becky and Zoanne,
I didn't meet Eddie til he was an old man. I missed the first 3/4 of a century. He would tell me I had to be nice to him because he was old. Of course he said this with a twinkle in his eye and the spunk of a two year old.
I got to know Eddie because he was a friend of my neighbors/landlords Charles and Doris Hove. I will always remember the strawberry preserves on the homemade bread, the gourds, muskmelons, squashes, trips on the manure spreader to see the beaver dams and the tin cans full of wildflowers.
Lots of good memories of good times.

| I happened upon this notice and my heart goes out to the family of Eddie Carlson. Though I do not know the family I wanted to convey my sympathy and share the thought from the bible that I look to at times such as these. Our heavenly father Jehovah is a God of love and he hates to see us in pain. This thought is supported at Revelation 21:3,4, where it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore". I personally cannot wait for this time to come. Also we await the fulfillment of John 5:28 where it promises that all those in the memorial tombs will come out. What a time of celebration when we will be crying tears of joy instead of sorrow. I hope that you find comfort in these scriptures as I have. I again am sorry for your loss. With sympathy, Jo EdwardsTY|

|It was a pleasure to know Eddie and I know he will be missed greatly by his friends and family. As his personal healthcare aide I saw many people who loved him come in and out of his room and I will pray for all of you!
Let's go Cubbies... lets win this year for Eddie!
Love and Prayers,
