| Ione Grace Gray, 89, formerly of Boxholm, IA and for the past 6-1/2 years of the Ogden Manor in Ogden, IA, passed away at the Ogden Manor on Friday evening, March 23, 2007.
She was born on October 31, 1917 in Fraser, IA, the daughter of Phillip and Hannah Caroline (Hilsabeck) Showers. She married William Freese in 1954, he died on December 30, 1964. On December 19, 1965 she married Roland Gray, he died on December 18, 1990. After the death of her husband in 1990, Ione moved back to Boxholm from Arkansas. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and visiting with neighbors in Boxholm. She attended the Boxholm United Methodist Church. Her 2 husbands and parents preceded her in death. Survivors include a cousin, Mabel Crouch of Boone, IA, and Mabel’s family; Jim and Merry Crouch of Tennessee, Larry and Pam Crouch of Arizona, and Gene and Irene Crouch of Ogden, IA. The body was cremated. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. | ||
