| Margaret Haleen, 93, formerly of 207 West 7th Street in Boone passed away at the Evangelical Free Church Home in Boone on Wednesday morning, February 4, 2009 where she had been a resident since February of 2002.
She was born on March 14, 1915 in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Albert and Emma Standley. On February 12, 1933, she married Arthur Richard Haleen at her parentÂ’s home in Boone. Margaret was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, working in her garden and baking. She was a member of the Central Christian Church for over 50 years and was active in all phases of the Church. Her parents, husband Art in February of 2006, and daughter Margaret Reutter in March of 2008 preceded her in death. Survivors include five grandsons; Don Reutter and wife Susan of Boone, Mike Reuter and wife Michelle of Brea, California, Bill Reutter of Brea, California, Scott Reutter and wife Mireya of Sun City, California and Brian Reutter of West Coast, California; 11 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law Leo Reutter of Boone. Graveside services with interment to follow will be held on Thursday morning, February 5th, at 11:00 a.m. at the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone with Pastor Curt Bowman officiating.
