| | | Joan Clark, 77, of 1014 – 218th Lane, Boone, Iowa passed away at the Boone County Hospital in Boone on Sunday evening, November 23, 2008.
She was born on October 30, 1931, in Boone, Iowa the daughter of Harold and Emma Belle (Showers) Burlingame.
On December 2, 1951, she married Jack G. Clark at Boone, Iowa.
Joan was a 1950 graduate of Boone High School and was voted Homecoming Queen during her senior year.
She was a homemaker and loved to be with her grandchildren and follow their activities. Joan and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motor home, wintering in Arizona.
Her parents, husband, Jack in July of 2005, and 1 brother preceded her in death.
Survivors include 2 sons David Clark and his wife Trista of Hills, Iowa, Mike Clark and his wife Dee of Modesto, California, 2 daughters Vicki Clark of Boone and companion Guy Huddleston, Kim Lindholm and her husband Tim of Ogden, 6 grandchildren Jesse Briley of Boone, Scott Nystrom and Jordan Nystrom both of Boone, Carly Lindholm of Ogden, Emma Clark and Jack Clark both of Hills, Iowa, and 4 step-grandchildren, Jake and Nicole Larson, Jodee Oldham and Maija Fhadinger both of California.
Services will be held on Saturday morning, November 29th at 10:00 a.m. at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone.
Interment will be in Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa.
Friends may call at the Stark-Welin Chapel in Boone on Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with the family present at that time to greet friends. Visitations will continue on Saturday morning from 8:00 a.m. until the time of service.
Those wishing to express their sympathies through a memorial may direct their memorial gift to the Class of 1950 Scholarship Fund.
