Alice May Anderson, 84, formerly of Boone, IA, passed away in Santa Barbara, CA on Saturday, September 29, 2007, after a brief illness
She was born on October 8, 1922 in Blue Earth, MN the daughter of Benjamin and Martha Domek and attended public schools in Fairmont, MN, graduating in 1940.
In 1944, she and Harold C. Anderson, also of Fairmont, were married at the local Methodist Church and thereafter-resided in Fairmont and several locations in Iowa before settling in Boone, IA, where Harold was the Central Regional Manager for Iowa Electric Light and Power.
Alice was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star, she always sang in the Church choir, was a regular hospital volunteer and was active in Tri-T in Ames, IA. In recent years, Alice relocated to Palm Springs, CA, then Las Vegas, NV, and finally to Santa Barbara, CA.
Her parents, husband, Harold, in 1987, and 1 brother, Clyde Domek of Ames, IA, preceded her in death.
Alice is survived by her son, Stephen Anderson of San Diego, CA, and his son Gregory Anderson; her son Mark (Linda) Anderson of New Market, VA; her sister, Ruth Schwager of Fairmont, MN, and several nieces and nephews.
The body was cremated.
Interment was in the Linwood Park Cemetery in Boone, Iowa.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
