Kenneth "Kenny" Ray Barnes age 57, of Wibaux, Montana, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Dickinson, North Dakota on Monday, November 27, 2006.

A Barbeque will be held in memory of him, at the family home in Wibaux, on Sunday, December 10, 2006 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. All of his friends and family are welcome. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Wibaux is entrusted with arrangements.

Kenny was born November 26, 1949 in Uvalde, Texas, a son of Owen Newton and Laura Ella (Jung) Barnes. He was raised and educated in Uvalde and Fredericksburg, Texas. At the age of 15 years he went to work as a driller in the oil fields and moved around the western United States.

Kenny finally settled in Wibaux, Montana in 1991. He met Laurie Begger in Wibaux and they were married on June 2, 1992 in Beach, North Dakota. Since their marriage they have lived in the Wibaux area.

Kenny loved hunting, fishing and working on vehicles. He loved his family- especially the children. Kenny enjoyed barbecuing year around and loved company and giving friends and family a hard time.

Kenny was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Stanley Ray Barnes and his first wife Joan Barnes.

Kenny is survived by his wife Laurie of Wibaux, Montana; three daughters, Candy Barnes of Vyvers, Colorado, Pepper Barnes and Sugar Barnes, both of Wibaux; one son, Shawn Barnes of Wibaux; one stepson, Steven Haldorsen of Sheridan, Wyoming and two sisters, Shirley Evans of Thorndale, Texas and Barbara Ann Crenwelge of Fredericksburg, Texas.
