| | | GLENDIVE, MONTANA: Cynthia Ruth (Lamb) Berg, age 51, of Glendive, Montana, passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Billings Deaconess Medical Center in Billings, Montana.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 31, 2009 at the United Methodist Church in Glendive, with Pastor T.C. Chatman officiating. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Glendive has been entrusted with the arrangements.
Cindy was born in Big Timber, Montana on March 14, 1957, the daughter of David and Olive (Alexander) Lamb. She was raised in Red Lodge, Montana, Columbus, Montana and Big Timber, graduating from Sweetgrass County High School in 1975. She attended Dawson Community College in Glendive, where she met her husband, Dennis Berg. They were united in marriage on March 25, 1978 in Glendive. Together, they raised one daughter, Megan born on June 4, 1983, and a son, Jeremy born on May 12, 1981.
Cindy worked for Lincoln elementary school in Glendive for many years and then for Eastern Montana Industries as a vocational specialist, placing and training adults with special needs in jobs throughout eastern Montana, until the time of her passing. She was a creative and determined motivator. She was very proud of her clients and their accomplishments, as she worked to help them establish their independence. She was a ray of sunshine in the life of every person who had the opportunity to know her.
Cindy was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend. She and Dennis loved to camp and they had several favorite spots where they spent their family vacation time on the Yellowstone river. Cindy loved her animals and was blessed with many friends.
Cindy is preceded in death by her grandparents and her father, David Lamb.
Cindy is survived by her husband of thirty-two years, Dennis Berg of Glendive; her daughter Megan Berg of Sheridan, Oregon; her son Jeremy Berg and his daughter Alora of Billings; her mother, Olive Lamb of Red Lodge, Montana; two brothers, Dan Lamb and his wife Janet, and their sons, Jay and Alan of Billings; Mike Lamb and his wife, Cheryl, and their children, Adrienne and David of Helena, Montana; her mother-in-law, Agnes Berg of Glendive; Sisters-in-law, Jaci Noonan and her husband Larry of Butte, Montana; Linda Snodgrass and her husband Dave of Casper, Wyoming; Brothers-in-law, Richard Berg and his wife Karen of Glendive; Jim Berg of Phoenix, Arizona; lifelong best friends, Joann Fuller of Big Timber; the magnificent seven and numerous nieces and nephews.
