"Ginny" was born August 25, 1955 in Sunnyside, Washington the daughter of Delmar and Bobbie Frye. Later her brother Lorn Frye, sister Becky Butler, and baby sister Martha Kolden made the family complete. She attended school in both Wyoming and Montana graduating from Harrison Public School in Harrison, Montana with the class of 1973. During high school in Harrison, she met her future husband, Ward Joel
Jackson. On August 27, 1973 Ginny and Ward eloped in Boise, Idaho. She was a very supportive and loving wife, even driving Ward to classes at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana during calving season when he was too
exhausted to drive. Ginny worked her and Ward's ranch in between raising three kids.
Ginny and Ward's first child, Virginia Bronwen was born on September 26, 1974, on October 5, 1976 their first son, Ward Joel II was born,
followed by Benjamin Zedekiah on August 19, 1980. Nothing gave Ginny greater joy than raising her children and seeing them succeed. She was always a quiet listener with subtle advice for her kids.
Ginny was always very active in her communities, having served as president of the PTA in Harrison, Montana, as a member of the Harrison Wildcat Boosters, as president of the Madison County Cattle Women, as president of the Montana Cattle Women's Association, as a Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star, as president of the Harrison Ladies Aide, as
a 4-H Club Leader in the Big Sky Wranglers, as the Manager of the Bar LG Ranch in McAllister, Montana, and as president of the Madison County
Republican Central Committee. Ginny had also worked for five years as a certified nurses aid at the Tobacco Root Care Center in Sheridan, Montana, becoming Auxiliary President and founding the employee of the month award.
She was an active member in the Day Spring Mission in Sheridan, Montana. Over the years, Ginny regularly donated to Habitat for Humanity and gave blood as often as possible.
Ginny's five grandchildren were the light of her life. She even insisted on buying her youngest grandsons birthday gift, herself, during one
of her hospital stays.
In April of 2003 Ginny got her dream house and returned to Glendive, Montana where some of her happiest childhood memories abounded.
Survivors include her husband Ward Joel Jackson of Glendive, Montana, her children; Virginia Bronwen (Jackson) Smithson and her husband Lonny Floyd Smithson of Virginia City, Montana, Ward Joel Jackson II of Terry,
