Margaret Ann Ballard, age 100, of Wibaux, Montana, formerly of Beach North Dakota, died on Sunday, August 24, 2003 in Baker, Montana.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 28, 2003 at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church in Beach, North Dakota with Rev. Fr. David Richter officiating. Rite of committal will be in the St. John’s Cemetery in Beach, North Dakota. Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home of Beach is entrusted with arrangements.

Margaret Ann was born October 2, 1902 in Dalzell, Illinois, the daughter of Natale and Marie (Grivetti) Nevicosi. She was raised and received her education in Illinois.

Margaret Ann married Joseph Clarence Ballard on February 11, 1925 at St. Anthony Church in Spring Valley, Illinois. They farmed in the Spring Valley area until March of 1944 when they moved to the Beach, North Dakota area to start the John Deere dealership.

Margaret Ann cooked at Jack’s Supper Club in Wibaux, Montana for 18 years. She loved to chrochet, embroider and knit. She also enjoyed playing shuffle board and cards. Margaret Ann had lived at the Golden Valley Manor in Beach for eight years prior to moving to the Wibaux County Nursing Home two years ago.

Margaret Ann was preceded in death by her husband, five sisters, four brothers and one great grandson.

Margaret Ann is survived by her son James Donald Ballard and his wife Vallie of Beach, North Dakota; 4 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
