Mr. JD Johnson, age 85, of Shreveport, LA passed away on October 29, 2009. Born on April 19, 1924 in Shreveport, LA to Annie Belle Chambers and John Dewey Johnson, Sr. He met his late wife, Camille Penyer Johnson in Casablanca, French Morocco during WWII. They were married for 59 years.

JD was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend. After serving in the United States Air force, he spent most of his career as a Sales Representative for the Brewster Co. which is now part of Cameron Iron Works. He will be deeply missed by those who were blessed to have known him. He was a member of the Broadmoore Baptist Church and will be remembered most for his sense of humor, caring attitude and contagious smile..

He was predeceased in death by his brother Robert O Johnson and wife Beth. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Lou Krenek and husband Jim of Montgomery, TX; his son, James Johnson and wife Cecilia of Spring, TX; grandchildren Sherry Krenek Charles and husband Douglas of Washington, D.C.; Candice Krenek Brunner and husband Randy of The Woodlands, TX; Stefanie Krenek of Washington, D.C.; Great-grandchildren Ryan and Rene Charles; Ashley Nini, Gian Carlos Johnson, Adam and Dylan Brunner; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the extraordinary caregivers at St. Luke’s Hospital in The Woodlands, Texas; especially Dr. Raza, Cathy & Nitska.

Family visitation will be held at Centuries Memorial on Mansfield Road in Shreveport on Monday, November 2, 2009 from 12-2pm with Graveside Services following. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be sent to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 15186, Austin, TX 75231(www.americanheart.org) or the Charity of your choice.
